What a wonderful evening for Trunk or Treat! Over 20 trunks decorated in all sorts of scary and surprising ways. A pigsty (constructed on site with power tools!), with a fairly large and mobile Charlotte proudly displaying her writing talents in an effort to save Wilbur, was one of my favorites. There were pumpkins, ghosts, cats, castles, vampires and of course mountains of candy.
The cake Silent Auction was a huge success – it raised $422 which will go towards scholarships for our mission trips and VBS. The fire truck was an exciting addition and the inflatable obstacle course and bounce house were the usual popular draw. Thank you to everyone who brought cakes, helped with all the activities (Andy Hines and our wonderful students!), decorated their trunks and turned out to make it a wonderful evening of fellowship and fun.
