The events listed below are some of the upcoming and ongoing church-sponsored events. Additional details are provided in the church newsletter or you may contact the Parish Administrator at the church office (512-327-1474).

2239 Socials. If you are between the ages of 22 and 39 and are interested in fun, food, and fellowship with other young adults from St. Michael’s, please contact Mary Healy about joining this group.  Get-togethers (dinners out, dinners in, potlucks, cocktails, pizza, etc.) are planned about once every 6 weeks.

“Brothers” Small Groups for Men - If you are interested in being part of a one-hour small group experience where men read and reflect on scripture, share their lives with each other, and enjoy fellowship, consider becoming a part of one of our new “Brothers” groups.  Groups will meet for one hour weekly, covering a study series over 12-13 weeks.  Groups are currently set to meet on Sundays at St. Michael’s between the 9am and 11am worship services and on Wednesday mornings in downtown Austin (Whole Foods) from 7:00-8:00am.  If you would like to join one of our Brothers groups and/or if you would like to lead a group, please contact Mary Healy.

Discovering the Bible: A New Generation - This Kerygma Bible Study meets on Sunday mornings in the Parish Hall (10:10-10:55) and on Monday evenings in Room 8 (6:15-7:15). Each of these sessions covers the same material, and you may choose to attend either one as best accommodates your schedule.  Discovering the Bible is a basic comprehensive introduction to the Bible as a whole.  Please contact the Rev. Janne Alro Osborne for information and to sign up.

Sisters! Small Groups for Women – If you are interested in being part of a one-hour small group experience where women read and reflect on scripture, share their lives with each other, and enjoy fellowship, consider becoming a part of one of our Sisters! groups.  Groups meet for one hour weekly, covering a study series over 12-13 weeks.  Find a group that works for you, and become a part of it!  We currently have groups meeting on Sundays at 10:10 am, Mondays at 2 pm, and Wednesdays at noon.  New groups will be formed based upon interest.  If you would like to join one of our Sisters! groups and/or if you would like to lead a group, please contact Mary Healy.

Sunday Book Study – This group meets every Sunday from 10:10-10:50 (between the Sunday morning worship services) in the Administration Office to discuss a spiritually or religiously related book.  The group is currently reading and discussing C.S. Lewis’ The Four Loves.  The book is available in class or in the front office for $12.  All are welcome!  For more information, please contact Phyllis Blees.

Wednesday Book Group – Meets last Wednesday of each month, 1:30 PM at Trianon Coffee Shop in Westlake. All are welcome to join for a book discussion and fellowship. The next meeting will be on February 29 when discussion will be about Holy Ghost Girl by Donna M. Johnson.  In addition, we will read In the Garden of Beasts by Erik Larson for our March 28 meeting.  For more information, please contact Jackie King.
