St. Michael’s offers a wide variety of convenient opportunities for small groups and Bible study throughout the week. Whether you’re looking for a group that meets during our Christian education and formation hour on Sunday or wish to meet on a weekday night, we have multiple groups to choose from.
Christian Formation Forum
Meeting on Sundays after the 10am service in the Parish Hall, this period of Adult Education is on a rotating schedule, ranging from video series’ and roundtables to book discussion. Christian Formation Forum doesn’t occur on Taco Sunday.
Curious about the type of content? As per example, our current forum is a five-week video series called “In This Together”, where attendees will watch and discuss five short films highlighting some of the most thoughtful thinkers in the church today. This series has a focus on areas of fracture in our society with an emphasis on how we can come together regardless of race, nationality, faith, or sexual orientation.
Contact Rev. Brin for more information.
Weekly Brown Bag Bible Study
Taking place on Tuesday afternoons from noon to 1pm in the Parish Hall, bring your lunch and join Rev. Brin for lectionary-based bible study. Contact Rev. Brin (Brin@St-Michaels.Org) for more information.
Small Groups Ministry
Our small groups sessions are usually done in blocks of weeks with three potential group times: On Sundays after the 10am service, Monday in the Parish Hall from 7-8pm, and Wednesday in the Parish Hall from 7-8pm. Attendees are encouraged to attend as much as possible, understanding that no one can make it each week. Plan to only attend one group each week. For more information about the current session or future sessions, contact Rev. Brin. All small groups meet in the library.
Sunday Seekers Book Study
Sunday Seekers Book Study meets in the Bride’s Room on Sundays at 9am. The group is currently reading the book How to Read the Apocalypse by Jean-Pierre Prévost.Bring your own copy or contact Phyllis Blees (phyllis.blees@gmail.com) if you’d like to order one, for times, or for more information. New participants are welcome to join at any time.
