We are called to nurture our children at the beginning of their spiritual journey. We do this at St Michael’s by guiding their growing faith with bible stories, prayer, play and love.
Children’s Ministries during the summer months
Children’s Sunday School at 9am.
Our Summer program for children, preschool through 5th grade, takes place in the Education wing in rooms 2 and 5. We will explore some of our more familiar bible stories in a relaxed and fun way, incorporating the most popular part of our regular program – snack and games! Each week will be a stand alone session so join us whenever you are in town.
Children’s Chapel during the 10am service.
All children are invited to take part in our new chapel program. Everyone will begin in church together then, during the ‘Song of Praise’, those children who want to take part will all leave together for their own worship service in the Brides room. Chapel will follow the lectionary of the day with readings, prayers, and music and will help the children become familiar with our Episcopal Worship service. We will rejoin families in church at the Passing of the Peace. Children are always welcome at St Michael’s and can stay for the whole worship service if they would like to.
Our nurseries are staffed by trained nannies who have undergone the Diocesan Safeguarding God’s Children program and we provide a safe, warm, loving environment for the children entrusted to our care. Nursery time includes free play, bible stories, coloring pages, outside play, snacks, and games and is available for infants through 2 years old from 7:45 to 11:30pm
