We are called to nurture our children at the beginning of their spiritual journey. We do this at St Michael’s by guiding their growing faith with bible stories, prayer, play and love.
Sunday Morning Programs
Children’s Sunday School
Conducted during both the 9 and 11am services. Parents bring their children to the education wing at the beginning of the service and when their programs are finished, the children are brought back to the worship space in time for Eucharist with their families. Children are always welcome at St Michael’s and can stay for the whole worship service if they would like to.
Preschool – Sunday school classes are for children age 3 years to Pre-Kindergarten. Parent volunteers play music, share stories and help the children with related craft activities.
K through 4th grade – This group uses our very popular workshop rotation program where parent volunteers lead Bible stories told in an interactive, experiential way, pairing them with crafts, food, games, science, and drama.
5th grade – This class uses a curriculum designed to help 5th grade students transition from the children’s program to student ministries.
K through 5th grade – Workshop Rotation (as above) with all our elementary aged children together
Our nurseries are staffed by trained nannies who have undergone the Diocesan Safeguarding God’s Children program and provide a safe, warm, loving environment for the children entrusted to our care. Nursery time includes free play, bible stories, coloring pages, outside play, snacks, and games and is available for infants through 3 years old from 8:45 to 12:30pm
