What is Sunday morning like?

All churches have their norms or “ways things happen.” We hope these tips will answer some of your questions:

*We dress Austin casual.
*Everyone is encouraged to wear a name tag. Name tags are available in both the north and south entryways.
*Children are definitely welcome at all services. We do have a nursery for the youngest ones, as well s a cry room for infants. All Sunday school children are included in the celebration of Holy Communion (the Eucharist).
*All baptized persons are invited to receive Holy Communion.
*Standing and kneeling are both acceptable postures during the prayers and while taking communion.
*Light refreshments are served in the north entryway or in the courtyard after the 9:00 and the 11:00 a.m. services. You are encouraged to linger and meet new friends. On the First Sunday of each month we offer a delicious Taco Breakfast between services (10-10:50 a.m.)
*Upcoming events, classes, groups are publicized in our weekly e-newsletter (send an e-mail to subscribe), on this website, and in various ways on Sunday morning. Please feel free to ask about events that interest you.

Newcomer Class Series

This series of four classes – led by Fr. Robby in the Parlor/Cry Room on Sundays, 10:10-10:50 – is for those interested in finding out a little more about church in general and membership at St. Michael’s in particular. There is plenty of opportunity for questions and discussion and you may join the class at any point in the sequence.

January 4, 2015:  Who We Are
January 11, 2015:  What We Believe
January 18, 2015:  How We Worship
January 25, 2015:  What We Do

Attending one or more of the four classes does NOT commit one to membership but does count toward joining the church family. Next series of classes are scheduled for January 4-January 25, 2015. Contact the Rev. Robby Vickery for information.
