Adult Spiritual Growth

At St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, we believe that our call to personal transformation and spiritual growth both precedes and sustains our call to make a meaningful, love-spreading difference in the world. This work begins with the Holy Spirit, who renews our hearts and forms us more deeply into the likeness of our Lord Jesus Christ.

As Christ is formed in us, we are shaped into people marked by love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22–23). This is our calling as God’s image-bearers and the source from which grace and connection flow into the world around us. Our vocation as the people of God is to grow into “the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to maturity, to the measure of the full stature of Christ” (Ephesians 4:13).

Here are some ways we nurture this ongoing work of formation and growth at St. Michael’s.
