We’re Glad You’re Here.
Whether you’ve been attending church your whole life, are returning after a long break, or are simply curious, you are welcome at St. Michael’s.
Here you’ll find some information that will help you plan your visit to St. Michael’s.
When You Arrive
St. Michael’s is located in the hills of Westlake, just off Loop 360. You can find us at 1500 S. Capital of Texas Highway, Austin, TX 78746.
We have designated visitor parking in the front row of our parking lot, between the church and the parish office. Look for the spaces marked with visitor parking signs.
From there, finding your way is easy. You’ll see clergy and greeters outside the church before each service—just walk toward us! We’ll be happy to welcome you, answer any questions, and help you find your way.
Of course, you’re also welcome to come in quietly and find a seat on your own.
About our Services
Our worship follows the rich and welcoming rhythm of the Episcopal tradition, with prayer, Scripture, music, a sermon, and Holy Communion at the heart of our time together.
If Episcopal worship is new to you, don’t worry about knowing when to stand, sit, kneel, or respond. Everything you need is provided, and you’re welcome simply to follow along in whatever way feels comfortable.
You’ll see everything from jeans to Sunday best. There’s no dress code—come as you are.
Communion or Eucharist
All baptized Christians are welcome to receive Holy Communion at St. Michael’s. Everyone is invited to come forward; if you would prefer a blessing, simply cross your arms over your chest.
If you’re unsure what to do, don’t worry—just follow those around you, and our clergy and ushers will be happy to help.
Children & Youth
Children and youth are a vital part of the St. Michael’s community, and families are always welcome in worship.
For our youngest children, nursery care is available for ages 0–3 beginning at 8:45 a.m. and continuing through the conclusion of the 11:00 a.m. service.
During both the 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. services, we offer age-appropriate formation for children in Pre-K through 5th grade. Children are welcomed on the St. Michael’s Day School playground before worship and brought into church in time to join their families for Holy Communion.
Students in 6th–12th grade are invited into our youth community for formation, fellowship, service, and special events throughout the year.
After the Service
We hope you’ll stay for a while after worship! Sunday mornings at St. Michael’s include opportunities for coffee, conversation, formation, and fellowship—a chance to meet new people and connect more deeply with our community.
